It'll be a bikini competition! I've passed Christmas, New Years, my birthday, and every holiday in between. I have NOTHING to hold me back! I've considered 5k training, which I'm still going to do, 10k's, and just about everything in between. 😁
I am three days in on my PERFECT eating and I am unbelievably proud of myself! I've wanted to do this for God knows how long! It about time I finally push my start button and get this shoe on the road! It's amazing how quickly your body can change after just a few days of cutting out all the bad fats, grease, and unnecessary calories.
In addition to this blog being my journey to compete, I think I'm also going to use this to showcase great recipes and workouts that I encounter throughout my endless amounts of research I do while being bored at school! Haha.
I shall add more this evening!

No Bikini Competition?
I'm still stuggling with the idea of doing a bikini competition.
I WANT TO SO BAD!!
However, I can't hire a trainer because I lack the money and lack appropriate hours to train. Until I have my own place and time to cook a normal, healthy meal, it will be SO HARD to say no to momma's fried chicken and macaroni and cheese!
So, right now I am on break between classes and I'm thinking since I've done 5k's, maybe I will continue training and try a 10k. After that try a half marathon, and continuing on.
I have to find new ways to stay healthy. I'm doing a 5k obstacle course on April 13! Which has me excited.
I'm so bad at making decisions.
Some things will never change.
We all have these up's and down's right? What matters is that we keep going!

So, here is the plan.

It was SO NOT ME!

So, it's finally time. I put off training for this pageant because I had other areas that I needed to work on. However, this time it for real.
I've started eating clean this past week as well as going to the gym once, sometimes twice a day.
The show I originally wanted to do was March 30th. That gives me five weeks and a day to get where I want to be in order to hit that stage rocking.
I've been on the computer for the past five hours researching bikini suits, shoes, tans, diets, workouts, you name it. I haven't even figured out if I want to compete in OCB or NPC.
All I know is that one of these days I will FINALLY do a bikini competition, and let's hope that this time I am counting down the days!
On the plus side...my diet today was PERFECT! Yuuuus! <3

Until next time! <3

Pageant Life

Well, I took a quick break from the fitness life in order to compete in a pageant that I was talked into doing. I did two last year, 2012, and was not planning on doing one this year so I could focus on competing in a bikini competition.
I want to thank my family for everything that they could possible do for me! They're always surprised that I will go on a stage in front of people as well as I am. They are definitely the most supportive people a girl could have. I am unbelievably blessed.

Pageants aren't always about glitz and glamour! There is SO MUCH more than goes into pageants than what first meets the eye.
You must have a talent, bathing suit, multiple dresses and you must have a platform that you stand by and mine was volunteerism.

Though I have never won a pageant, or even gotten first runner up for that matter, I take away so many life lessons that I hope that my future kids will also get to experience. I walk away with not only friendships but a little more confidence in myself than when I first started stepping on a stage. Just knowing that never in 100 years would I have thought I would ever be able to DANCE in front of a crowd, leaves me in a happy state of mind. Just so you all are aware, I am NOT a dancer.. haha!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It's a new year, and therefor, a NEW ME!
It's about time I actually continue with my bikini training. I'm still thinking the March/April time frame. I'm getting over a fever and strep throat, so I had to take some time off. Yesterday I was back at it 100%!
Yesterday was also the first day back at school!
I have switched my major to Recreation and Leisure Studies with a concentration in Fitness and Exercise science. I love ALL my classes yesterday, and today I have two more.
I am beyond exited that I have classes this semester that will interest me and help me pursue my dreams!
I've got to make it short and sweet, I have to leave for school in ten minutes and I am not yet dressed! Uh oh.
But before I go I want to give a HUGE thanks to my boyfriend, Jamie!
I might not tell him all the time or ever for that matter...hah.
But being with him drives me to become a better person. Being with him also makes me capable of pursuing everything I've ever wanted to accomplish. For that, I will forever be thankful.
So, until next time, stay beautiful! <3

It's been too long, I know I know. I suck.
I've decided that April 16th I believe, is the day that I'll be competing. I will start training the first day in December. I'll be in Arkansas with family for thanksgiving, and this girl is GOING to eat good.
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, so it's great that it will be the last week that I eat that much!
I've been so busy and I am SO GLAD that this semester is almost over. I have not been doing that well. In the beginning of the semester I didn't do as well as I should have which has been leaving me playing "catch up" all semester.
Now that I switched majors, I am looking forward to next semester, and a semester of all A's! (:
It's now November, and Halloween was fun!
I ate no candy!
I'm going to miss going to pumpkin patches, bonfires, and playing in the leaves.
It's such a beautiful day outside today, and I know that soon I will be bundled up.
Well, I should be studying for a few tests.
So, stick with me through November, and then follow me as I embark on my journey in December!
Much love!

Good Morning to everyone!
It's crazy that it's almost November!Where has this year gone to? It's been a heck of a year, but I'm more than ready to see what 2013 has to offer, since 2012 was one of the best years yet!
I've been packing my bags for Arkansas. I'm leaving on Thursday and getting back on Monday. I am SO thankful for this mini vacation. One of my cousins are getting married to the love of her life, and I am SO EXCITED to see how beautiful she's going to look!
This is the first wedding I've been to for a family member, so that makes me happy for more.
Plus, I only get to see my family once, maybe twice a year if I am lucky. So, this is going to be fun.
Arkansas is completely flat.
There is one hill in like a 235809583459 mile radius, and that just so happens to be the levee around the town my grandparents live. So, you best bet I am going to take advantage of running their flat land instead of running all the hills and MOUNTAINS here in West Virginia. haha.
Anyways, we all have inspiration. My inspiration just to happens to be Courtney Prather. She graduated from follege, and until recently, she's held a 9-5 desk job as a manager of a Hilton Hotel chain. If anyone knows about being busy, it would be her.
But despite working 8 hour days and the normal hoopdaloo of a normal life, she still found time to eat healthy and train hard.
Which means, we all can.
I was reading a post of hers, and I hope you find this as encouraging as I did!
Never compare your behind-the scenes with everyone else's highlight reel.
I need to wrap this up. I have so much to do!
Talk to you guys later!
